Every aspect of the Stem 50 has been designed and built with the utmost care and attention to detail, from the design of the hull and appendages to the manoeuvring equipment, from the layout of the living spaces to the quality of the materials and finishes, from the optimisation of the sail plan and safety equipment to the rational management of systems and energy sources. Each owner can also design together with the team further customisations and modifications to bring their dream boat to life.

Collaborations

All-round experience

The Stem 50 is a unique and exclusive aluminium sailing cabin cruiser aimed at a target group of sailors who are fully aware of what it really means to go to sea and who do not find the right satisfaction in the models offered by the standard construction. On board the Stem 50 the sailor/mariner is truly at the centre of everything, from safety in navigation to the management of manoeuvres, from the comfort of exterior and interior spaces to the use of systems that make life at sea truly autonomous and sustainable.

But the Stem team offers even more, with the possibility for the owner to personally choose many on-board details and see the boat come to life before his eyes, to touch it and get to know it in depth, right from the construction, outfitting and customisation stages. It is precisely from this direct participation in the yard that the fundamental process of ‘symbiosis’ between man and boat that Stem wants to guarantee to owners begins, and which will later define the way of being on board and the sailing style of those who choose this boat.An extraordinary voyage supported by professionals in the sector and by a company of international standing that will always be at your side, even after the official launch. Not only during the first test sailings together with the technical staff, but above all with an after-sales service of the highest quality that is Stem's flagship.

Safety

Safety has always been a prerogative of Stem for all its products related to rescue and health protection. And this sailing cabin cruiser is no exception. Whoever climbs aboard the Stem 50 has the certainty of sailing on a solid, protected boat that offers maximum safety to skipper and crew in all conditions.

Starting with the aluminium construction, a material that has no equal in terms of mechanical strength. To further raise the boat's safety level, crash boxes have been inserted in the bow and stern, as in the best ocean cabin cruisers, and the keel itself is milled to avoid welding in this critical area of the hull.

The feeling of safety when sailing on the Stem 50 is also expressed in many other details, such as the cockpit protected by the Hard Top and windscreen, the various handrails distributed in strategic areas of the deck, the integrated stanchion and the sturdy dolphin guard. The on-board equipment itself has been carefully studied for an ideal location that makes it easier for the crew in any emergency situation. That Stem 50 is a safe boat can also be seen in the most hidden corners. An example? Check out the quality of all the electrical wiring or the Trudesign valve-welded inboard sockets!

Easy sailing

A great deal of work has been done by the team to bring aboard Stem 50 a new concept totally dedicated to the so-called ‘Easy Sailing’ concept that makes it as easy as possible to sail the boat in all weather conditions and even with a smaller crew.

Helmsman and crew can count on halyards and sheets deferred in the cockpit (all in Dyneema with Kevlar Performance socks), electric main winches, deck equipment with load optimisation, a well-dimensioned set of sails with no flywheels and implemented for fast reduction in the event of wind reinforcement. Also on board the Stem 50 is extensive use of electronics with the most innovative devices for consulting nautical charts, automated pilotage and route planning.
